How to Set Admin Roles for your Facebook Page

Finally, Facebook is allowing multiple roles for page administrators!

Prior to this feature, giving someone admin access to a Facebook page was an all or nothing thing. All admins had complete and total access to the page. Obviously, this posed huge security risks on many different levels and made it way too easy for pages to be hi-jacked or deleted. Also, if any admin had their Facebook account compromised, then pages under their control were in jeopardy.

Now all of that has changed and page owners can breathe a sigh of relief. Pages can have admins assigned with the following roles.
 1. Manager
 2. Content Creator
 3. Moderator
 4. Advertiser
 5. Insights Analyst

So, if you are a Facebook page owner, and you want to set these granular controls for your admins – here is how you do it:

1. Access the ‘Admin Panel’ on your Facebook page.

2. Click the ‘Manage‘ drop down menu and select ‘Settings.’

3. Next, you will click ‘Admin Roles‘ in the left column.

4. Assign the appropriate controls for your Admins and click ‘Save.’

Even with these new controls, it is important to take additional steps to further secure your Facebook page. We recommend that you require all admins to have Login Approvals enabled on their Facebook account. This requires users to enter a code they receive via text message if Facebook doesn’t recognize the device they are logging in from. So, even if a hacker obtains their password, they still wouldn’t be able to access their Facebook account (and your page) without the code. There are also third party, social media management platforms you could consider that provide additional security benefits.
For more information on Admin Roles, be sure to read up on the feature in Facebook’s Help Center. They have a whole section devoted to the topic.

10 free photoshop actions with video how to used

Photoshop Actions ?

An action is a series of tasks that you play back on a single file or a batch of files – menu commands, palette options, tool actions, and so on. You can create Photoshop action that changes the size of an image, applies a filter to the image for a particular effect, and then saves the file in the desired format.

Actions can include stops that let you perform tasks that cannot be recorded (for example, using a painting tool).

Photoshop and Illustrator come with predefined actions installed that help you perform common tasks. You can use these actions as is, customize them to meet your needs, or create new actions. PS actions are stored in sets to help you organize them.

You can record, edit, customize, and batch-process actions, and you can manage groups of actions by working with action sets.

ProxTube - Unblock YouTube

I was just annoyed time by time to find a solution to watch a blocked video. Also, I don't want to accept the decision of the GEMA (Society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights in Germany), which totally unreasonable demands on YouTube and against the opinion of most of their own members, that they can tell me what I can watch. I gladly pay for music but in my view, YouTube is much more a kind of platform where artists can picture themselves and promote the purchase of the songs. Accordingly, I've worked on a solution that should make it easier, as well for a user that has no large background knowledge, and also not unlawful. The result is this addon.

In some countries YouTube videos are blocked! Unblock them with this Addon.
Supported countries: Germany, Netherlands, Spain, and more

Team Viewer: how to use Remote Desktop with Team Viewer

Allowing consumers to help friends and family fix problems, Online meetings, team work, training and presentations , learn programs and more, TeamViewer has a remote access solution that consumers need TAGS: computer remote access, Harris Interactive, remote assistance, remote computer access, remote pc access, survey, Team Viewer, TeamViewer, teamviewer download.

A Harris Interactive May 2011 survey of over 2,000 North Americans has reported that remote computer access is an important priority. TeamViewer, a provider of remote computer access, has learned that consumers have personal reasons when needing such access, an example includes a file forgotten behind while on a business trip.

When on-the-go and away from the office, North Americans still need to be able to access their computer. When asked what they’d do once realizing an important document was left behind, survey takers answered that they would:

 • Run to the nearest phone – 30 percent
 • Feel like they were kicked in the gut – 25 percent
 • Shouting expletives – 22 percent
 • Feel like vomiting – 12 percent
 • “When you forget something on a business trip, the feeling is worse than five car accidents,” said Tim DeBenedictis, the founder or Southern Stars which produces the award-winning SkySafari planetarium app.  “But TeamViewer gives you the freedom from worry.  With TeamViewer, I can retrieve files from my laptop with my iPhone three hundred miles away.  TeamViewer provides a sense of relief no aspirin can match.”

Another important computer access opportunity to keep in mind is the remote access of someone else’s computer—whether it be a family member or friend. Four out of five North Americans (79 per cent) explained that in these scenarios, remote access would be fairly important:

 • To help someone learn how to fix a problem with their computer – 66 percent
 • To show a relative how to use a complicated program – 58 percent
 • To help someone check their email – 56 percent
 • To help someone surf the Internet – 51 percent
 • To play a game with a distant friend – 41 percent
 • To help a friend update their resume – 37 percent
 • To assist a loved one with a highly contagious disease – 37 percent

TeamViewer gives the modern family the freedom to stay connected,” said Melissa Ulrich, a busy mom and president of J&M Patent Designs, the nation’s leading patent drafting firm.  “Whether I’m helping my grandparents fix a computer problem they can’t solve or helping someone who’s just not good with software, TeamViewer makes it possible. As the weather gets worse and the winter travel season kicks off, TeamViewer will be indispensable for families wanting the freedom from hassle.”

Why Won't Windows Delete a File?

Though deleting seems to be a simple task, sometimes Windows balks at the idea. Find out why.

Has Windows ever prevented you from deleting a file? This is one of those mysteries that can make you throw up your hands and cry, "Really, Windows? Really?" After all, deleting a file isn't brain surgery; it's computing at its most basic level. So why is your system balking at such a simple task?

It's for your own protection--most of the time, anyway. If Windows won't delete a file or folder, that's usually because some application or operating system process is accessing it. If you were to delete the item while it's "in use" (even if you're not using it directly), an app or even Windows itself could crash.

Nine times out of ten, the best way to deal with a file or folder that won't go willingly is to reboot your PC. Then, before you run any programs, try deleting that file again. It should go quietly(Post by pcworld).

Why the Slow Boots?

Cary Dwyer's PC used to boot quickly. Not anymore.

You probably have too many autoloading programs. If a brand-new PC boots slowly, you can bet that the vendor weighted it down with too many bundled programs that load automatically with every boot. If a once-fast PC has developed that problem over time, you've probably added too many of these programs, yourself--perhaps without realizing it.

Which doesn't mean you have to remove the programs; you just have to turn off their autoloaders. I use Photoshop nearly every week, but I see no need for a Photoshop icon in the system tray, or a little piece of Photoshop always in memory.

Before you do anything else, create a system restore point: In XP, select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then System Restore. Select Create a restore point, click Next and follow the wizard. In Vista, click Start, type sysdm.cpl and press ENTER. Click the System Protection tab, then the Create button.

To see all of your autoloaders, select Start, then Run, type msconfig, and press ENTER (you don't have to click Run in Vista). Click the Startup tab. You can uncheck any of the listed programs to keep them from autoloading.
Which ones should you uncheck? Not your antivirus, firewall, or security suite; you need those running at all times. Other than that, you have to use your own judgment and experiments to determine what you want running at all times and what you want to launch when you need it.

Sometimes an autoloader you've unchecked--perhaps days or weeks ago--will reappear on the list later. Why? Because the program that put it there in the first place senses that it's no longer autoloading and corrects your "mistake." In these cases, examine that program's Options or Preferences menu and look for something like "Launch when Windows loads" or "Put in System Tray." Uncheck that option.
